In 1989, Joseph Lanza founded Sign Design in Port Chester, NY. Later in 1991, he aquired JC Awning. Joe's professional education is in Industrial design, graphics, fine art and architecture. In addition, the practical experience of growing up in the industry provided the groundwork for a fresh outlook on an old industry.
Soon after opening Sign Design and JC Awning the business claimed an instant niche in the sign and awning industry by emphasizing expert design and high quality products. The intention has always been to treat clients with respect and provide the highest level of service possible.

Fabrication equipment includes a 4'x8' MultiCam CNC Router able to cut aluminum and many other substrates, a Matthews paint mixing station, electrostatic painting system, along with other standard shop equipment for metal fabrication and finishing.
